Beautiful Pictures! I worked there on an Earthwatch expedition. Also decended from Nest's daughter Anghared, who's Castle is 2 miles away in Manorbier. I love your tritone and the pics. you have lined up along the seawall up to the Castle. Windows are great too!

i was in Spain a few yrs ago.I went and was lucky enough to stay at the Alhambra,in the hotel inside the grounds. There were only 4(?) rooms i think and we got 2 of them! I have never in my life been more taken with a vacation spot than i was with The Alhambra, and The Mesquita.I hope very much to return one day.Your pictures are beautifull.

Excellent photos of Ronda! You obviously love it there. My daughter..who was born in Rota...saw the sunflowers on the website for La cortijo las piletas and said we needed to stay there a few days this May for 0ur 25th wedding anniv. My wife thinks we're staying a hostal as I haven't told her yet where we are staying. Just great to see more photos of where we'll be going. Been to Ronda...25 years ago.

Hello Frank, came across your galleries whilst searching for pictures of Pembroke Castle. Just would like to say how brilliant your photography is. (and, much better than what your snooker was down the powerstation club!) Best Regards, Steve Richards, Pembroke

Hello Frank. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to look at your amasing pictures. I would really like to hear about your opinion about the city, that is due to the fact that I am goint there to study myself and have a hard time finding people that have been there. Would be really thankfull if you would be so nice and write me an email with a few words about Vejer.
Cheers Ida / Sweden

Thanks Richard. The camera is a Canon 10D, and I use a Hoya 72 filter.
Richard 26-Aug-2004 04:53
Frank I love your IR pictures. The castles look fantastic. I was hoping you could tell me what Camera you used and which IR filter.

Hello Frank, You may remember visiting our "Celtic Images of Pembrokeshire" Gallery recently? Thanks for the tip-off - the lens certainly sees both ways in your case...
Look forward to seeing you when you are our way again - but do phone first.

Frank, I am a cousin of yours. My mother is Alice Jean Sleeman Jones, her father was Charles Thomas Sleeman - your uncle. I loved looking at the pictures of my grandparents.
Grammas name was Helen Kirk Ferguson. We called her wee-gramma. I live in Michigan, USA. I had sent an e-mail to Laurie with a little info on myself and my siblings. My mother had visited with my oldest brother dan and his son danny. I only wish I had been able to travel with them. I do not think mom could do another trip. Her lungs are bad and her oxygen level is not good.
I look forward to hearing more about your family. Barb Berlin barbberlin@hotmail.com

Hi Frank,

Sorry for not getting back sooner when you asked "Where are they switched off in Fire fox? A fan of both Firefox and Thunderbird" on ephotozine. Well I've just figured out how I did it! You need to install Adblock extension. You can get it from herehttp://texturizer.net/firefox/extensions/
Once installed, right click on an image and select 'AdBlock image' and as if by magic it's gone! Makes viewing ephotozine far more agreeable.

Enjoy,

Edward

Thanks for the comments, very kind. Am I allowed a few critical comments in EPZ now? ;-)
I won't go into the reasons for not having any photos there now, but I'm glad you approve. :-)
Thanks
Frank

Hi Frank, Just had a great time looking at your photos as you suggested. You might remember me from "ephotozine". Brilliant work might I say, I absolutely loved all the infra-red shots, outstanding. Some of them should be turned into posters, I certainly know I would buy one. A very clever man, you have a good grasp of Photoshop too, maybe one day soon I may get the hang of the fundamentals of photoshop. Keep up the great work.
Bill.

Hello there again, I pressed the wrong key by mistake last time. I just wanted to say I liked the pictures of the stained glass windows. Just for accuracy the spelling of the village is B O S H E R S T O N, in south Pembrokeshire. The big window is above the altar, and depicts the 9 important stages of Christ's life and death. From left to right as you look at it, bottom row is the Annunciation, the birth, the baptism. Middle row shows the Agony in the Garden, the crucifixion, and the burial. Top row shows the resurrection, the ascention and the pentecost. Best wishes, Dave

Hi Frank,

I enjoyed your photos very much. Thank you for the beautiful pictures from Pembroke and Andalusia. I`ve already thought about posting my Wales photos as well but I first have to scan them because I have only started to go digital about a year ago.
Thank you again for the great work you did.
Hope I can provide a name for the `unknown beach´ sometime soon.

Yours

Hans

Your photography and retouching are remarkable. You have a magnificient talent and very practiced eye.
In one of your old retouch-pro images (the mardi gras one), you used a technique that is compelling and fascinating. I'd very much like to learn how you did the mosaic work. Impressed is putting it mildly.
Keep up the good work.
Frank02-Feb-2004 09:09
Thanks, I have sent you an e-mail.

Frank, I love your fish shots!!! Where did you take them, in an aquarium or pet shop? I personally love to take those kind of shots, problem is when I go into the pet shops they chase me out & the aquarium is too dark! I would like to know more about the equipment you use.

Check out my site & let me know what you thinkhttp://www.pbase.com/fastuno

Thanks for the inspiration.

Great photos of Spain. Enjoyed the visit. You are lucky to live in Europe near so many treasures that you can visit relatively easily. Keep it up!

Dear Frank, Your photographs of Ronda do it justice to no end.
Having visited Ronda numerous times and conversed with the survivors
of the Spanish Civil War, the few photographs that you have posted of the
town bring back fond memories, I must say Sir, OUTSTANDING WORK!!!!
Please post more if you have them no matter what condition they are in.
In advance, thank you so much.

Frank, I especially love the photos of the kids, and your restorations are excellent!

I have added a restoration forum to my new site...stop by and check it out! The address ishttp://www.innographx.com/forum and there are lots of friendly folks there you know!

We have retouching and restoration challenges as well as photo art and straight photography, and even four photo games. Not to mention the site is free. I hope to see you there!

just been looking at the website - got it up in class and the kids think how boring it was to have only grey and white clothes! The website is a really good idea - I've enjoyed trying to guess who's who.

Sue whittle and I have been looking at the photos and have reached the conclussion that the pic of me in garden with strange child is not one of my finest could i request that it be removed and possibly replaced with something just a tad more flattering and thus reduce the cringe factor. Have a few more oldies here that you can add to the collection.

I agree with you about the flowers. I thought it was, but not sure. It's the first time I have tried them and I couldn;t find the packet! I knew it would only be a matter of time before someone put me right! Re the people, I don't know, perhaps Carole knows, she seems to be the expert om matters of family.
Glad you liked the snaps. I have been talking with Andrew on the net, on matters of computers and photography, seems we are into similar things!
Five to twelve, past my bedtime!
