Hi Alyssa. Thank you for your kind words and for adding my galleries to your favorites. Again, you are off to a great start. My early efforts were 99% boring snapshots and 1% decent. After 30+ years (off and on) I think I've improved. 85%-90% boring snapshots and 10% decent stuff. :)

Seriously, there's a whole world of potential waiting to be photographed. Explore those possibilities. More important than equipment, technique, etc. is shooting what you like, and liking what you shoot. Take care.

If you are a beginner there might some experienced photographers who will have to rise to your level. You appear to be off to a great start. There are a number of self appointed experts (believe me, I am no expert) who might try to tell you what to do, but keep it simple. Be true to yourself and follow your own path. There is a book that helped and inspired me more than any other, "The Art Of Seeing" by Derek Doeffinger. Not a typical "how-to" book but one that challenges you to develop your own vision. It goes in an out of print but if you can find a copy it will be well worth having in my humble opinion.

Alyssa,
The great thing about photography is that it is a tool that anybody can use for self expression. As a "beginner" you have already turned out an impressive small body of very interesting work which I look forward to seeing grow.
The best advice I could give is to not listen to advice but rather look at tons of photos by the great masters and by other pbasers alike and decide what turns you on then just keep on doing what you are already doing and shoot shoot shoot!
Best for continuing your wonderful output of beautiful photography.
