nice travel photos, you know you should really make an album in this site :
www.trekinu.com ...

like this gallery:
http://www.trekinu.com/viewtrek.aspx?trkid=mquiko5rgn2bbjt

its free and you can share with us the places you traveled to on the map. takes 3-4 minutes...
(this is NOT a site to replace PBASE, it's for sharing albums with music and send to friends and share here with your photos)
And here is a tip: you can send them a message in their contact link and they will add your site under your albums)

Alex: It's been awhile sense I've visited your galleries, and I can see that I have been away too long. Some really great shots amidst your recent galleries. Others have mentioned your ability to catch the lighting -- so true.

Hello Alex,

Thanks for the comments in my Milan gallery. Yes, I lived there for 5 years. Tended to carry around my camera a lot. Many, many photos, just terribly organized and I rarely sort through the old stuff. Trying to do a bit of that as I get involved here.

I really enjoy your galleries. I like the lighting in them. So vivid, and such atmosphere. Have it book marked! I'll be checking back for sure.

It seems as you are telling the light pose for the camera...
You are probably the only person in this whole site who knows how to take pictures of light.
Man you've got great talents. By the way, I loved your scandinavian pictures. Those pictures make me wanna go there right now.
Peace.

You have some fabulous photos. I can learn a lot from you - well done. Funny thing is that we've done some travelling to the same places. I wonder if we've ever crossed paths? :-)

Alex- I came across your gallery via a posting you posted on dpreview.com regarding the "need" for L lenses. Wow- your images are great. I have a long way to go to developing my "eye" in comparison with yours. Great job. I have added you to one of my favorite artists list. Your "Middle Earth" shot of Paris is very clever. :)

Alex,

Wonderful visions of a beautiful city. Would have enjoyed seeing some of the images without any sharpening, "sple(n)dor and "The Law" might have looked different :-) Realise that I am assuming :-) Congrats on your choices to share . . .

Hi Alex -- Thanks for your kind comments. I've been enjoying your galleries, especially the Scandinavian seasons. I used to visit Norway regularly, but only "pre-digital". One of these days I'll have to scan my slides from hiking in the Jotunheimen. -- Peter

What wonderfully beautifull and photgenic place you live in, and the images are quite amazing. Nice work!
Salman Ahmed09-Aug-2004 19:40
I had originally come across your galleries a few months ago from a posting of yours on CTF. Your galleries prove that it's not the camera but the photographer that makes all the difference.

You have an ability to see.

Can you help please. I have a Canon G5 and also a Canon D60. Whilst I am pleased with the G5 and the quality of pics, I am finding it difficult taking action shots. I find the delay on the shutter causes me to "miss the moment".

I am taking my children for a special visit to Disneyworld in Florida, and am thinking ahead reagarding which "kit" to take. My D60 is too heavy for everyday use around the Theme Parks, but I fear my G5 will be too "slow" to catch them on the rides.

Any advice on how to set it up, or what I might be missing would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Debs (UK) !

Hi Alex

Thank you for your kind words in dp review and in my Gallery. My "Seagull-Pic" was a crop from a really messy one. (We have been feeding birds). Just a bit USM-ed and maybe a bit darkend and framed. That's all.
I don't know your Country at all, but it must be very beautiful, from what I can see in your pictures. Please forgive me my bad English - I'm not an english speaker.
Warm regards
Irene from Switzerland

Great windwanes, I imagine that you have a lot of wind at your parts
re: gallery 1841338
Probably no more or less than any other location Alexeig. But it seems like more than our fair-share at times, while running around looking for them this time of year, here in New England region of the USA.

Thanks for checking my gallery Alexeig. You have some *very* fine fotos. I was partial to your night scenes and "Scandinavian winter" gallery.

Hello Alex. I am a PBASE member and recently purchased a Canon G5. I have enjoyed your work and find them to be inspirational. My action shots have not turned out well, blamed my G5 but now realize that the problem lies with my limited knowledge. LOL. Do take a looksee at my galleries as well when you have the time.
