The Mitsubishi H-60 Helicopter Pilot aboard the JDS Inazuma shows me his patches. His Co-Pilot is in the background.

All the officers and men aboard the Japanese ships were friendly, courteous and eager to speak with us.

I'm repeating others comments in that it must have been a nice experience talking to members of the crew were friendly and spoke English. It would be interesting to go below decks, converse and take photos.
