P+S camera versus DSLR
The P+S camera is a Canon SD800; the DSLR is a Nikon D700 with 50mm f/1.4 lens.
All pictures taken from the same tripod position. The P+S was zoomed to cover approximately the same area as the DSLR.
All DSLR pictures are at f/11; the P+S camera does not have user-adjustable apertures.
The DSLR pictures range from ISO 200 through 6400; the P+S pictures from ISO 80 through 1600.
The images with "center" in their name are square crops with a side equal to 1/4 of the image width.
