Derived from the civilian Grumman Gulfstream 1; this aircraft was used as a trainer for introduction to instrumentation (A-6); and instrument flight training for A-6 Intruder B/Ns. It was also used to train Naval Aviator/BNs to function as a highly integrated team.

Note: Many of the aircraft sitting on the ramp outside the restoration hanger complex at Pensacola are in very "weathered" shape...or worse. In time; all will be restored to factory fresh (perhaps not flyable, but certainly cosmetically) condition; and wearing the appropriate markings and paint appropriate for their operational service time period.
