Hey Ted;

It was great meeting you tonight at the Brooklyn Boy Scout event. Great shots here! Especially all the NYC photos. You have inspired me to go at and do some more shooting around town.

Hi Ted,
It was great to talk with you at NECCC. I've just shot an hour going thru your galleries and am duly impressed :) Marley was just the tip of the iceberg.
I've got you marked, keep up the great work.

Ted can you work with me? I need some photographs from the vast cemetary at calvary maspeth (queens) of the manhattan skyline . Its for my 5th anniversary tribute TO 9-11,
to be played at city hall in august 2006, for possible international inclusion at ground zero on 9-11-06(it was going to be an audio tape)but would be honoured if you would join me in this tribute. Your work convincies me that your pictures would give the right emotional content to complement my story, and articulate my feelings toward your wonderful city. I found your pictures of my old home town fantastic! Could be that you are related to Sam and Tilly Levin that had a candy store on Graham Ave during the 1940's?

I lived in Greenpoint from the time of my birth, Sept 1934 to Dec 1954, when I was drafted into the US Army, sent to Germany, where I am now retired and living in Frankfurt Germany. I lived in a 3 Story house at 521 Graham Ave, that I have not re-visited since 1961. I would like to fly to NYC in March to see how many of my childhood freinds are still there. I am trying to find a hotel or B&B, to stay in for at least one week.I would appreciate it if you could give some some info on that.

Ted, Thanks for your comments but you are by fare a superior photographer, I'm just a hobbist.

Um, but at least I'm on the right side of the isle ;) got to joke around sometimes to lighten things up.

Really enjoyed looking at some of your pix. I particularly like the towers of light & the gates in Central Park. I live in Bangkok, Thailand now -- no more snow for me! -- but I lived in Brooklyn most of my adult life, and your pictures of Bklyn brought back a lot of womderful memories. Thanks.
R.S. Guskind 16-Mar-2005 02:10
Ted--I am a huge fan of your photos and talent and efforts to chronicle life in Brooklyn and elsewhere. Your photos of The Gates are wonderful and you have made photos of Coney Island that are utterly spectacular. (And many other special photos in all your galleries). This is a wonderful body of work and, I'm certain, but a small slice of all the images you have captured from behind the lens. Bob G.

Dear Ted,
Butch and I are here in Charleston, and I just finished looking at lots of your albums. Many of your pictures are really terrific. I especially liked what you did with the seagulls, the reflected feet in the water, and the Coney Island pictures. I grew up near Coney Island, and as a child my father took me there every weekend as he played handball down there. Those pictures of the Wonder Wheeel and Nathans are particularly nostalgic for me. My sister and I used to ride the Wonder Wheel for hours on winter weekends while my dad played ball. I also got a charge out of the similarlity of so many of our Charleston pictures. That early sunrise golden light is really something isn't it?? My plan for tomorrow is sunrise, but the insects have been really brutal this trip. I never remember such a hard time with mosquitos. I am always fascinated by the patterns the water makes on the sand in the early morning, and I have have taken hundreds of pictures of sea oats over the years.
Send regards to your family,

Peace, Ilene

Hi! =]
We in the Alpha Omega Multicultural Sorority wanted to let you know that we thought it was just awesome that you put us on your site. Every walk we go to we forget who was suppose to bring the camera, or we just get so caught up we forget we even have it. So the Alpha O's have no pictures of our walk-a-thon outings in our scrap book.
So thank you, thank you, thank you for being awesome enuff to share your camera with us people in Staten Island, New York.
Thank so much for the memories Ted!!! You've definitely have some excellent karma coming your way. Hope to you see you again at our next walk.

Thanks a bunch from,

Ms. Speedy Alpha Omega Multicultural Sorority Secretary
and the rest of the Alpha Omega Sisters

Just wanted to thank you for your comments. I really enjoyed your galleries; nice to see other perspectives on the same subject. I too have been approached latetly by NY's finest regarding my shooting in the city; I supposed it's all for the best, although at the time it sure is frustrating. Anyways, thanks again and keep shooting
cheers
