"ten mp allows more cropping. I enjoyed shooting a D200 recently, and would love the resolution in a pro body..."
I thought 4 megapixels was all anybody would ever need to "go take some pictures". I'm glad you've caught up with the rest of the world in your understanding that 4.1 megapixels is really not ample resolution.

I'm also one of those lucky ones with SEVERAL e-mail accounts... none of which DPReview seems to like! AOL, rr.com, etc...

Anyway... I like the blue sky in the second shot... presumably that one's been color-corrected? However, I like the 'Golden Hour' light on the bird in the top one.

Maybe you can merge the two images? Just correct the sky itself?

Cool shot, regardless...

Hi, I saw your post on dpreview about the cement pillar and weither or not it was interesting etc.... I like where you were going with that shot but I could not post my suggestions (I cant get a dpreview accout because I dont use an ISP). So if you are interested I would be happy to email them to you.

Happy shooting!

Danny

Michelle,

Thank you for such a wonderful compliment on my work. I really feel like a hack at this. I like shooting more than I do post work, and have to spend more time on my postprocessing skills, especially sharpening for the web. I emailed you, hope you got it.
You have such wonderful photos on your site. What type equipment do you use. I have a Nikon 5700, but 3 months ago upgraded to the D100, and use a Nikon 70-300 lens often with a Kenko Pro 1.4x tele. Also have a Nikon 50mm and a quantaray 28-80.

Thanks again.

Hello Backdoctor,

I was on dpreview and saw the beautiful photos you took from your room at the animal kingdom lodge. What type of lens do you use; brand and mm? I am a professional photographer and wanted to say kudos to you for your fine composition in your photos. If you would like, I invite you to visit my webpage at www.ferrara-photo.com. I have a handful of nature shots. The rest are black & whites, portraits, and weddings. I would love your feedback if you have the time.

thanks,

I had just finished looking at yours, and I was thinking: "Wow, do my shots ever suck compared to this Harris guy." Then I got your message... :) Thanks!

How do you get such awesome wildlife shots? I thought you were using a super-long lens, but I notice you use a CP5700 so not crazy telephoto.

That shot of the squirrel in the birdfeeder is a hoot!

Thanks, A.

Hi Harris,

Thank you for the nice comments and feedback on my photos. It's been a little while since I've been to your galleries and you have a lot more images from the 5700 now. I really liked the Wildlife gallery, especially the Sandhill Cranes...beautiful birds. Very nice shots!

Bob
