I belong to India and I was in Addis in 2005 for almost 8 months and was staying in Bole area. Addis Ababa being the capital city of Ethiopia is a very good place and people are also very co-operative and friendly.I got many opportunities to see the natural beauty in Addis and around Addis. Belive me Ethiopia is a very very good country....When ever I get any chance again I will definitely go to Addis...I love that place...

I am Mrs. Birhane Ibrahim. I am a resident of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa city I was working as a house maid before 32 years a go to one of your citizen. He was living in Ethiopia, engaging in modern livestock rearing at around the current AYER TENA area, in Addis Ababa city. While before 32 years a go. While I was working with him, I gave him a son. My son was with me until the age of 6. My son father asked me to take the son to Italy. Since I am not capable, financially, rising of my son, I gave my son to him. My son know not know mother name because my son father died. My son now 32 years. and my son’s real name too, exact full addresses of them either. But I found a piece of information which is very helpful to find my son. My son’s father had been married to another girl in Ethiopia before 32 years ago. Her name is “Meskerem Abate”; she is living in Italy with my son. When my son’s father was in Ethiopia, he was running cattle rearing and gas station business with his wife (Meskerem Abate) before they went to Italy together. I was working as a servant in their home which becomes the reason to have my son (being pregnant) with Meskerem Abate husband, Gorgo. Finally, I heard that my son’s father, Gorgo has died in car accident in Rome, Italy about before 14 years ago. Now my son is living in Italy with Meskerem Abate. They have one hotel and gas station in Rome, Italy. I hope the above information will give some clues to find my son .Would you please help me to find him or if there are any possibilities which are helpful to find him? I would be very glad if you let me know some one comes to you with likely similar information. After long time in 2001, I heard that my son came back to ETHIOPIA to visit me; unfortunately he couldn’t reach me. I have already changed my address from where he grew up. I heard that he came to the place where he grew up, Because of the language barrier, he couldn’t get the information from my former neighbours where I’m living know. Lastly, I heard that he went back to Italy without meeting me. Hence, I kindly request your cooperation to see your files and search for the address of my son and allow me meeting him sooner.

well ethiopia looks like my country but its bigger,the cities and the towns, but we dont have beast like you do..lions and others..to see one of those we have to go to the zoo..but like the country and the history, you know invadors are very corner of the earth and we have to fight for our freedom,, so if they try again fight for your freedom.. i have to friends from ethiopia...i think we come from there too..ethiopian and dominican look at like..aby adn brook is me ricardo tonis couzzzz

Thank you for the beautiful pics of Addis.I'm from Seattle, Washinton and will be visting Addis in 2 weeks. I didn't know what to expect, because I don't see very many positive images of Ehtiopia. I feel a sense of relief in knowing that Addis isn't much different in apperance, than many cities in the United States.I have met many Habasha people in my communities, they show me the beauty of Ethiopia culture and people.Enough to make me want to vist.

I AM SURE ETHIOPIAN HAS NICE CAR FOR THE USE OF TAXI.. I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE THE HELL YOU GOT THAT FXXX GARBAGE CAR AS A TAXI AND SHOWING IT TO THE WORLD.. LOL THAT IS REALLY FUNNY. I do not think, it is a good idea for marketing to attract tourist.. Looking at that fxxx garbage taxi, I feel like I am in a ghetto town lol .. I am sure u can put reliable looking taxi picture. I heard you guys have limousine taxi service in Addis.. lol how about that. Did u get my clue..? I think so lol. Take care and keep up a good job!

All the drama and corruption Ethiopian people have to go through. You guys still doing good job.. I wish AMERICAN INCLUDING ALL WESTERN SOCIETY STOPE PUTTING DOWN ETHIOPIAN COUNTRY BY SHOWING ONLY THE POVERTY! Ethiopia is a beautiful country and has so much to offer to the World with such a rich culture. By the way there are a lot of western society live in Ethiopia specially Addis Ababa. So I do not see the point for fxxxx American putting down Ethiopian country, yet they enjoy the natural none prolusion weather and none steroid natural food. Hmmmmmmmmm, yet they put down Ethiopia. Im ethiopian, i was born in London England, and lived here most my life, only lived a total of around 4 years of my childhood in ethiopia. I just wish the Zoo's could be expanded, for all creatures to give them more of a natural life where they can roam on the grass and the like freely. I feel sorry for the lions trapped there in Cells, its like a innoncent human being trapped in a cell for the rest of his life. Anywayz fantastic images, but Ethiopia is a long way from total modern look and feel. Take more Photos, much more, i havent been to ethio since 1995 september. And take photos of people too, children etc

I love all the pictures….my favourite has to be the houses with the hedge decoration…you did a really good job capturing the good side of Addis…I don’t want to be critical but I think we should all be aware that these pictures do not really represent Addis and it’s people…nonetheless it is a great escapism so thanks. :)

As I am preparing to visit addis ababa for the first time, since coming to America in 1990, I found your photo galleries much helpful.
