Wears Valley in the Afternoon

I took this several days ago while the leaves were at the peak of color. I waited until the sun was low so the shadows would define the ridges and sways of Cove Mountain. I live on the tree covered ridge just to the left of the open field in the photo.

A great look at the folds and undulations in the distant hills. The foreground adds much to the composition. V
