Pilo

Most pilo tend to look fairly similar overall, with a wide variety of morphology. An exception is kukaenene, which is a ground-hugging vine with small bristly leaves. The various species of pilo are doing quite well, and are often found sprouting abundantly even in disturbed habitats. Coprosma montana is a particularly attractive species, with a sculptured shape that's shown off well in its open mountain habitat.
