Smilax

Pu'u Maka'ala NAR

This vine was about 5 meters long, 1 cm thick, and all of its leaves were small like this, with two large tendrils per leaf. I have seen similar thick green vines like this, but without any leaves at all, in areas where smilax (with leaves) is also growing. Perhaps it is a strange smilax.
