The main objective was to photograph the Cherry Blossoms, but our path there took us across the Memorial Bridge, past the Lincoln Memorial, past the Korean Memorial and thru the FDR Memorial to the Jefferson Memorial. If you haven't guessed, we have a few Memorials here in DC. I am sure we passed a few others and didn't even know it.
Next time you should try to make it to Roosevelt Island. It's on the left just before Memorial Bridge on GW Parkway. There's a footbridge across the river and on the island there are nature paths etc., and in the center a large statue of Teddy Roosevelt surrounded by fountains.
