The Lights of Lower Antelope Canyon

After I moved to Northern Arizona, it took me over three years to finally make the trip to Antelope Canyon. I can't adequately explain why I waited so long to go, but believe it had to do with the feeling that the location was over-saturated with photographers, and there was nothing 'original' to be captured from the location. I couldn't have been more wrong. Antelope Canyon is an amazing, mind-boggling place, an abstract canvas ever-changing with the wonderful light that plays upon it day after day. I was literally shell-shocked when I went in for the first time this summer, and will be back to further capture the beauty of this place.

So here is my first gallery from Lower Antelope Canyon...a collection of images focusing on the glorious light beams that filter into the canyon around the noon hour. While Upper Antelope Canyon is more famous for light beam imagery, I prefer the more subtle beams of Lower Antelope; the way that they snake through the narrow, sinuous crevace in a continuous dance of light across the abstract, twisted, canyon landscape.
