As much as one may want life to be normal, this new reality can't be ignored.
USA: 68,489 cases of COVID-19 - 1032 deaths

Although it still looks like Winter here, I’d be normally be “going somewhere” to take advantage of any day of nice weather. I wouldn’t just be at home.
Unfortunately, these are not normal times. My husband is now tele commuting. We haven’t really see anyone else – except at a distance – beyond each other in over a week. Even when someone had to come in to do an “emergency” home repair, we were very careful to practice safe, social distancing. The Metro is now under a “stay at home” order. We have been carefully been following that order. Like for everyone else, it hasn’t been easy. Nevertheless, we know that - if the US is going to win this war against COVID-19 – it is necessary.
When the weather didn't allow us to get outside in a week for much needed get fresh air, it was especially difficult to be constantly at home. With the nice weather today, we were finally able to at least get outside.
To my surprise, it seemed as if everyone in the neighborhood (both young and old) were also outside in their yards!!! In all my years, I’ve never, ever seen a neighborhood with so many people all at home at exactly the same time. It felt quite odd to see and hear so many outside together - yet still separate. I don’t think I’ve seen some of those neighbors before. The neighbor behind us has more kids than I ever realized. I thought they had only small children, but now they seem to also have several teens.
