Collasped 9-04-20

...from the hard work of pooping and peeing with his friends in our yard.

He sacked out while waiting for his mom to finish her dessert of some greens after the whole family had finished feasting on grain that our next door neighbor puts out everyday.

Friday US COVID News

“The president’s new coronavirus adviser, Dr. Scott Atlas, who has no background nor experience as a virologist or immunologist, has supported the controversial strategy of allowing the virus to spread naturally until enough of the US population — around 60 or 70 percent, by varying estimates — has been exposed to achieve what’s called “herd immunity,” at which point the epidemic should end on its own.

He made the same point on Friday, arguing that “the impact of prolonging the lockdown is worse than the impact of the disease,” despite overwhelming evidence that lockdowns helped save lives, and that even nonfatal cases of COVID-19 have been shown to inflict serious and potentially long-lasting damage to the heart and other organs.

Atlas also believes that although nearly 190,000 Americans have died from the coronavirus, the nation is on better footing, in relative terms, than many of its counterparts in Europe, where the virus has largely been contained.

Like many of the president’s supporters and the president himself, Atlas selectively deploys statistics that portray the nation’s pandemic in the most favorable light possible, while downplaying both past mistakes and remaining challenges.” Yahoo News

“The number of deaths caused by Covid-19 everyday in the U.S. has remained high, at nearly 1,000 new deaths per day, according to data compiled by Johns Hopkins University.” CNBC News

“Key coronavirus forecast predicts over 410,000 total U.S. deaths by Jan. 1: ‘The worst is yet to come’” CNBC Health & Science.

“Fauci (the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and previous leader of the The White House Coronavirus Task Force) says he would call out political interference if he sees it in a Covid-19 vaccine approval.

‘I’m not a regulator, I mean, I just do the science. I’d report the science in an accurate way, and certainly if I saw interference, I would be very disturbed and call it out,” ”CNN

“Fauci says harassment and threats toward his family have continued.

‘I don’t mind them doing it to me. I don’t really care. That -- I blow off,’ Fauci said. ‘But I don’t really like to see my wife and my children being hassled.’ He blames the divisiveness in society for the problem.” CNN

Photo Info

If you look carefully, you can see that the hair on this fawn is starting to change from his red & white baby coat to a more adult, grey winter coat. The seasons are changing.

Each day, the deer seem to be becoming more and more habituated. This one was so close that he filled up my camera’s frame for this shot. When he finally got up from his nap at dusk, he came even closer. I like deer and they make a great photo subject. But I really don’t like them this close in our backyard. You can yell and wave at them, but they now have no fear nor shyness. I feel like they’re starting to take over.

There are now sooo many of them. Besides the unique doe with 5 fawns, there is now a different doe who has 4 fawns traveling with her. Plus two does with 3 fawns each, and several does with twins. Not to mention, the solo doe who lost her fawn shortly after its birth. There may be even more deer than this going for the food that our neighbor puts out. I have just mentioned the ones I routinely see pass through our yard and can now recognize.

Most all have now gotten into the habit of pooping and peeing in our yard. I could do a large photo gallery with the theme of pooping and peeing deer!!! Wish I didn’t have this ability to say that. What a year 2020 has been!!!

Glad the little one was just taking a rest.
TY for the Covis-19 update. We opened up too soon in CA, I think CA opened up cause of the pressure by businesses and workers as well as fear that the economic crisis will deepen. My pet sitting biz is affected but I rather have to dib into my life savings than be on a ventilator....and if recovered then worry about the damage to my heart that the virus is now knowing to cause in the people who have 'recovered'.
