Yang Dang Mountain and Ningbo
On November 12, 2009 Janet and I travelled with others from Jiangnan University to te city of Ningbo, and to Yang Dang Mountain, one of the "Ten Famous Mountainss" of China.
Rainy Day - Beijing
We had the hardest rain of the year today. So, I did the natural thing: got out the biggest lens, went onto our little patio and started shooting.

Inner Mongolia - May 2009
Janet said I could go with her on a five day trip to inner Mongolia if I was good. She meant, if I would be a good boy. I thought she meant I could have a good time. Anyhow, it was a fun trip. Comments about the photos will be added as time permits.

Trip to ChengDe, China
Fourteen BYU teachers got together for a two day trip to ChenDe, some 250 Kilometers from Beijing, and to the summer palace of the emperors of the Ming Dynasty. There are also two Tibetan style Temples, including one that is aptly named the Little Potala Palace, modeled after the more famous big brother in Lhasa, Tibet.

Beijing Images
Fellow BYU Teacher Lamont Lyons is an avid photographer. Our first day in Beijing, he took me for a tour aloung the three lakes behind the Forbidden City. Other photos have been added from Ritan Park and the temple of Heaven in Beijing.
A memorial to those who suffered in the Chengdu Earthquake
Last year, Janet and I traveled the road from Chengdu to Wolong and thence to Jiuzhaiguo. That road followed the epicenter of the terrible earthquake of May, 2008. The few pictures here are intended as a small memorial, to which we add our prayers for those whose images we captured.

Celebration Xi'an International Studies University
In May 2006, the name Xi'an International Studies University became official, and a wondereful celebration was held to commemorate the event.
Yan An
The family of our friend and "adopted" granddaughter Heather Lin invited us to a visit to Yan An in the north of Shaanxi Province. We felt like family. We had wonderful meals, saw fascinating sights, and had time to become well acquainted with very nice people.
