Mom, Debra and I wandered around the Thanksgiving Point for a few hours on a beautiful spring day.

We took a short overnighter to Moab, toured Arches and took a jet boat ride 35 miles down the Colorado River to Dead Horse Point.

Woods Store was established in Enterprise Utah in 1919. When it met its demise, gas was $1.29 per gallon.

Fall 2011 Provo River
Wednesday, October 26. Noon temperature at Provo Canyon was 39 degrees. But the colors were nice.
Saturday, November 12: A cold, very windy day. Snow was just begining to fall, the wind was playing havoc with the falls (the first six images).

Sep 24. What a difference five days make! I once read a comment by Sir Winston Churchill, among whose talents was the gift of painting, to the effect that: "I expect to spend the first million years or so of my next existence experimenting with new colors on my pallette." I couldn't help but think the colors we saw today would test his experimentation, and give him pleasure.

Old Town Helotes, Texas
Just a stone throw north of San Antonio is the community of Helotes, Some of the old buildings have been spared, and, naturally, made into a tourist destination. Still, there were a few interesting things to photograph.
