Works well on my Canon Eos 350d. I use a cheap FD to EF converter £5 from china and use manual settings, the light meter still works perfect. I brought the lens new £900. You can now find them £50 on ebay. I like the Depth of field markings on the lens. Also works well with a x2 FD converter which you can pick up for as little as £10 and this arrangment gives focal lenght of around 800mm.

the L version is very good not too heavy but unfortunately this lens is too dark so most of the time you will have to use fast film
