Firmware update 1.01 is available here: http://www.pentax.jp/english/support/digital/20050727e.html It fixes these issues: “Automatic tracking AF” function can be selected from the Menu in the camera. Automatic tracking AF --- The camera keeps the moving subject in focus until the shutter release button is pressed fully.

I have had my WP for a couple of years now. Good points; it is waterproof and beer proof and quite tough in general. It survived a swim in the sea and several accidental drops too. It takes pretty good pics in good light and the macro function is quite good. Bad points; crap flash and noisy images above 100iso, slow ish write times and shutter lag can mean you miss some shots. Overall for the money it ain't too bad and mine is still going strong. Lots of pics here http://www.pbase.com/stephenb70 all the pics in the two festival galleries were taken with this camera.

This is an average camera which gives reasonably good pictues. Unless you switch it to Macro Mode in which case it seems to turn into a completely different camera capable of excellent high quality images! Weatherproof and waterproof so overall about 7/10!
