After Central, went to Memphis State, graduating in 1967. Entered the Navy in 1968, became a Naval Aviator and spend the Vietnam war in the San Francisco Bay Area flying transport planes througout the West. Tough job!
I intended to becoming an airline pilot after the Navy, but when I left in the fall of 1972, they were laying off and not hiring. Went to work in the family business in Jacksonville, Florida, and have been there every since.
We are a real estate investment and mangement firm. Manage apartments and rental housing through out the area. I am President of the company, Rivermont Realty, Inc. Business is good.
I have served in numerous trade related orginzations over the years. President several times of the Northeast Florida Apartrment Council and President of the Northeast Florida Builders Association. Also served on several state and nation Board of Directors related to these trades. I forgot, we were also builders for a number of years but are no longer actively building.
I have been married a few times, presently divorced. Engaged to a lovely lady to be married in August.
I have one son, Gabe Inman, 31 years old and one grandson, Jake, 4 years old. My son spent the time from age 12-19 with me here in Florida. They both presently live in Memphis so I have occasion to return from time to time. I have only visited Memphis since 1968, usually for short periods so I have missed out on all that has happened to it over the years except through heresay.
I live in Neptune Beach, Florida, just outside Jacksonville. I am 3 houses from the Ocean and have lived there for 19 years. Love the beach and the ocean. I must, I have had to buy it a couple of times.
I will see if I can forward some pics later.
