To clarify this shot, a leaf actually fell off the vine onto my counter top and I noticed it was very near to the plant shadow itself so that presented a great photo op. I merely moved the leaf to a location near the shadow and saw in the composition a great valentine opportunity. (You might say the leaf, in its private world, is forever detached from his lifeline, the main plant, and that to me is somewhat sad when you think about it!) shu
