Texas Canyon

Arizona

At a rest stop along I-10 east of Benson, AZ; looking north.
These are huge rocks.
On the south side, there are a lot of rock fields with many piles of balancing rocks.

Seeing those boulders this close remind me of the time toilet paper helped save my life when we went hiking up a mountain in southern Germany. Paul

BTW, it is only 5 hrs from my house in Green Valley to Winslow and old Hwy 66.

I was too far south for a flat bed Ford.

Very Weird - as I type this, "Take it Easy" comes up on Pandora.

Now I have to get up there with the camera. I have driven past there quite a few times , but have never stopped.
This has to change.
Who wants to come with me?

Well, I’m a standing on a corner
in Winslow, Arizona,
and such a fine sight to see.
It’s a girl, my Lord, in a flatbed Ford
slowin’ down to take a look at me.
Come on, baby, don’t say maybe.
I gotta know if your sweet love is
gonna save me.
We may lose and we may win
though we will never be here again.
So open up, I’m climbin’ in,
so take it easy.

Winslow AZ is north of here, just east of Flagstaff off I-40. It is about 340 miles by interstate, and 5 hours driving time.

Continuing the Eagles theme, how far from Winslow?
