09 Chickadee2

My back yard

What could be more black and white than a black-capped chickadee?

I didn't even have to leave my house for this picture; I took it while sitting on the sofa in my living room. What can be more stay-at-home than that?

aglake - I was thinking more about sharpness than I was noise; especially the fine feathers.

There wasn't very much noise, and after scaling it down to challenge size, very little left. (The bars of the feeder have a rough finish; that's not noise there.)

While I do shoot the glass of the door from my living room, I'm shooting about straight on and the door is so far out of focus that it has no effect on the image.

Now this came out very well.
And as Mr T said, the B&W really works on this one.

I have the V1 of that lens, and like it. I have heard great things about the V2.
On shots like this, I have also used the new Topaz Denoise AI and Sharpen AI to "polish up" the sharpness. They work well on birds.

And add that most likely it was shot through glass and it really makes one say wow! Paul

Your back yard? You should be saying...among my best work! Very nice...I would have thought birds, per force, had to be in color...you prove that wrong. Best Wishes, Traveller
