No, I love your two senses, I could and have looked at cropping this almost square which would accomplish your goal...but, intellectually, (as opposed to an emotive/artistic response), I want the tree small, almost helpless against an all encompassing threatening sky.

Or, that is my excuse.

My first thought about the tree was that it shouldn't be there. Then I thought, yes it should; it's just too small. I barely noticed the color (which is as subtle as the blues and green in my Antarctica shot in Exhibition). So I moved on to those diagonal lines at lower right. The ones someone picky would complain about. I'm glad I'm not picky. Meandering now, is there any way to increase the size of the tree to make it appear you're standing closer, maybe even leaving the confines of your balcony? That would make it more interesting to me. Sorry for the way more than two cents.

"subjects are hard to find when you are confined" -- yes they are.

I know this breaks the rules, a little, but, but...the image is almost perfectly a B&W image without any Post Processing at all, the tree was also virtually B&W....still, rules or no, this is my entry...;>}}}

Also, under lock down, this is an image from my upstairs balcony...subjects are hard to find when you are confined.

Best Wishes, Traveller

Mr T - the artist inside of you has certainly poked itself out with this shot.

It looks like hope, (in a darkening world)

[I did work hard-hard on this palm tree to make it look as it does...lots of dodging, saturation, vibrance, separate sharpening, voila`].

Hmmm. The tree needs some work.
