Hello John,
What a fantastic site. We met today in the Eden Estuary hide and had a fine chat. We spoke of visiting Iceland. It looks like that's the only country you haven't been to?
Kind regards,

Particularly interested in your wonderful account of the Peregrine Falcon. I observed this magnificent bird in an urban environment this year(Montreal, Quebec). Including a fledging accident where the male fledgeling flew directly into a sports center window. Luckily for him we were able to watch over him while the authorities were alerted and showed up 4 hours later. The bird we later called Achiles was cared for his injuries by a Provincial raptor rehab center (UQROP) and was able to be reunited with his family of three under a busy highway interchange in the center of Montreal. He again made the news by trapping himself in a steel structure under the same interchange. The Firemen were called to the rescue and once again Achiles made it back to safety.
Thanks for sharing.

Hi John, love your pics. I have recently started taking pics of birds as a hobby since I retired. I live in Fife, and found it quite difficult to get near the birds, but recently got myself a better zoom lens and went to the Isle of May during the breeding season and loved it there, at least I managed to get closer to the birds :)

My house moving has had a serious delay as I browse your photos, quite awestruck. Did you hear the oohs and aahs as you drove away from Kingsbarns, John?

Thank you for this tour of outstanding beauty!

Your pictures just seem to get better and better every time I look at your site. Your pair of Ptarmigan put the hairs up on the back of my neck just looking at it.
You are a credit to birding John, so keep up the good work.

Excellent website. I am from London but up here with the family, getting a bit of birding in also. Saturday saw Purple Sandpiper at Lower Largo, and then located the Drake SS very close in at Ruddon's point, along with loads of Velvets, and several LT Duck. RT Diver close in at Anstruther harbour-mouth. Saw several Gannett here as well, and also juv Kittiwake from Fife Ness.
I am especially interested in finding Crossbill (Vane Farm was suggested), scaup, divers and grebes (so far seen one little grebe and one RT Diver, and that is it - where are they!) and white gulls - saw the post about Glaucous at Out Head. Do you have any suggestions. I am also after the spotsand at Kinneil, and GW Teal if it is still there.
Thanks
Jonathan - markinch

Looks like you had a good time in Fuerteventura -a big hurrah for those Houbara images!

Any chance of you pulling those evocative Fife Ness birds in surf & bird in a big sea images together in their own gallery as they are so good?
