This challenge is in memory of Henri Cartier-Bresson. It is a celebration of his contributions to photography. The term "decisive moment" epitomizes his photographic genius. He defined it as ‘the simultaneous recognition, in a fraction of a second, of the significance of an event as well as the precise organization of forms which gives that event its proper expression." His photographs - often of ephemeral subjects - were exposed at precisely the right instance. While I am largely thinking of street photography in this challenge, the challenge is meant to be open for alternative settings. Critical is that the situation imaged is essentially unrepeatable, is extremely short lived, and that the resulting image leaves no doubt about the appropriateness of the instance selected.
