This hat, modeled and made by my wife Marlice, was made from hand-felted llama fiber
for the Banana Slug String Band, a group of outdoor educators in the Santa Cruz, CA area.
Marlice's brother Steve Van Zandt, is one of the members and writes all the music for the Slugs.
They perform all over the US, teaching kids about ecology and earth-friendly philosophies.
