Reduce Reflections

A Circular Polarizing Filter can reduce reflections

Tears of the Arizona

An example of two pictures shot within seconds of each other.

The half on the left uses a circular polarizer filter to eliminate reflections. The ship just under the water is visible.

The half on the right the filter was set so reflections were visible. The oil slick on the surface of the water is clearly visble.

Sixty Three years after the attack on Pearl Harbor oil continues to leak from the sunken battleship, Arizona. The leak has been called the tears of the Arizona as the ship still weeps for the crew on board.
