Contrary to what the name suggests this is a White Ibis. When they are young, they aren’t exactly white, but they do look pretty cool. This one was checking me out from the edge of the auto-loop at the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge during a recent visit. I guess I must have looked pretty interesting to him too because he really was staring me down!
