Hello Dave. I publish an online magazine in Central Alberta and fell in love with one of your photos while looking for images of Aspen trees. I wanted to know how you'd feel about having that photo published in an article in an upcoming issue? I'm currently doing a piece on central Alberta Women in History (and of course, they're from Aspenland) I'd cite appropriate photo credit of course and would redirect readers with a link directly to your site (or whereever you'd like them to go.) I look forward to hearing from you.

Hey Dave, Are you the lad who took photos of Gang Ranch in about 1988 when I was in commercial film production and we needed a location scout? It was for a Molson ad but we had weather problems so actual footage never used. I have so many photos I thought I would send some back to the ranch but want to give credit where credit is due!

Hi Dave
Great pics of Mammoet & Premay hauling the cokers. I wonder if the genreal public realises just how much is involved in such a massive move. My hat goes off to them.
RalphinWisconsin 06-May-2008 15:22
Fabulous gallery of photos. I would suggest that the hauling of the oil field components is a photo essay on what gasoline is going to cost in the future.
Bill Hankins 14-Oct-2007 00:31
Your pic's of the huge heavy haul loads are great. Do you have any of the ice road hauls?
WolfBinder 21-Oct-2006 02:58

Dave, I am overwhelmed at the composition and depth behind each shot! The camera may be a good one but you play it like a fine violin. Absolutely stunning!! The falls look like they are running and I swear I feel the mist splash on my face. Well Done!! Kat and Paul

Hi Darby, I haven't dropped by in ---well quite a while. Just checked out your link, nice photos. The snow and the yellow fall trees are especially striking. As always you know your way around a camera. Keep the pumpkins growing.
Anne

See you on VT again one of these days.

Dear Dave Belcher,

Your pictures are absolutely breathtaking!!! It was such a fortunate pleasure to find your website. I am now just a little bit prouder to be a flat-lander Albertan!

******************************************************************************

I would also like to know if the nonprofit, educational organization I work for could use one of your photos for our new Alberta-wide project called Green Learning Online. See below.

Requesting permission for use of '581192 Barley field near Villeneuve'photo:

My name is Angela Miskuski. I work for a not-for-profit environmental education organization called the Pembina Institute for Appropriate Development. We are currently creating web-delivered environmental learning materials, which will be used by schools throughout the Province. These materials will be available to schools at no cost.

Our site will be called GREEN LEARNING ALBERTA and will provide schools with curriculum specific learning materials on environmental education, including printable and online information for students, activities (both on and off-line) for students, teacher materials such as quizzes, black line masters, assessment tools and more. We will also be providing “extras” (non-curriculum specific materials) such as links to environmental news sources, online tools (such as dictionaries, thesauri, etc).

In developing our materials for the "Green Learning Climate Change Science" section I noticed your photo- "581192 Barley field near Villeneuve" located on your website. It is an excellent photo. It would be fantastic if we could use the photo within our student materials to provide a high quality "visual" of Alberta's farming industry. We would of course credit you for the photo and would provide a link to your site from ours.

I look forward to hearing from you on whether you would be willing to grant permission for us to use the Barley field near Villeneuve photo in our Green Learning materials.

If you have any queries, or would like any additional information, please do not hesitate to contact me.

Thank-you, in advance, for your time.

Best regards,

Angela Miskuski
