Hi Dave and thank you for the wonderful time on Yellowstone 2013 Oct tour. Despite of the US government shut down and the closed parks we had fabulous adventure, lots of fun and managed to get some fantastic pictures of wild life and places 
Dave is the most friendly and accommodating tour host and instructor. Will definitely sing up for another tour soon. Note that had to fly all the way from Down Under - Australia

Hello, we both attended Clover Avenue School, however I attended a few years after you. On there web site it showed your name under the photo. Would you happen to have or know anyone with any other photos from Clover Emementry?

Thank you

Hello Dave
I am one of your "pre-digital" participants. My last mailer from you was in 2003. You offered me an opportunity to read and edit your first book while rooming together on a "Route 66" trip. On that trip I saw my first digital camera and digital image presentation. How times have changed. I have sold my Mamiya RZ and 645 and have gone digital and now use a Mac. My long absense from your trips is due to illness, retirement and a move to Santa Rosa. I hope the years have been good to you. How might I catch up and not break the bank?

For some reason, I guess the feeling it evokes, I went back several times to look at your bw Raven over Death Valley, but many of your images are stunning, such as the one of the falls in Yosemite reflecting off the flood waters. Thanks for your comments on a couple of my images at Chuckm41. If you ever want to take a little shorter excursion, I could point to some places within half an hours drive of Bakersfield that, depending on time of year, can be excellent photos ops.

Hi Dave,
Thank you for visiting my gallery. Coming from you, the kind words you left are very flattering. I really enjoy your galleries. Very impressive. I also used a TLR (my dad's) in my youger days, yes in the 60's. I noticed that you are located in LA as well. May be we can hookup sometime and take pictures together.

Thanks,
Joshua

Hi Dave. Thanks for your comments. I really appreciate your feedback and encouragement. I have been watching your galleries too. You are getting some great shots wtih the D70. Looks like you had a great time in Yellowstone this year. One of these days I will do that trip again. So many cool places to go... too little time! I do plan to do the eastern sierra and/or yosemite later this month.

Hi Dave!

Thanks for your comments about my heron/gopher pictures! I've just now looked at your galleries---alot of terrific images!! As a relatively new photographer, I find your work inspiring. Since I'm also a Californian, I particularly liked your California pictures (like the bristlecone pines). The well done B&W 60's pictures are of course more than pictures, they're history!

Dave's California guide book is outstanding. Excellent maps besides the photos. Highly recommended. Dave, I admire that you have "stuck" with photography and are doing what you like while earning a living at it.

If I commented on all the photos I liked, I'd be here for quite awhile and wouldn't get any work done. I like your gallery and will be back on occasion to view new photos or just to re-aquaint myself with some that are now up.

Hi Dave,

Thanks for your comments a couple of weeks ago regarding Wyman Canyon. It took me a while to put two and two together, and I just realized I've got your Northern CA book. Currently my photos are nowhere near as good as what you take, but I'm learning.

Dave,

Thanks for the comments. I just recently found PBase and it has been an addiction ever since. What a great way for people to communicate. Not only can we see images from one another's daily lives, but we have the opportunity to interact via comments and email.

This Photo a Day is a challenge, but really fun.

Your photos are enjoyable, happy photos. I like that.

Hey Dave,

Thanks for all the comments. I'm working this new job on a reality show, and I work nights - 7p-5am..So my shooting has gone down quite a bit. But I gotta pay the bills.

I have a friend that owns a few bars(Geisha House, Dolce), and so from time to time, I shoot at those places. The gallery you commented on, was a promotion from some dude who does that a lot now. I was shooting for free for this website called cooljunkie.com. My pics didn't get a whole lot of play, but it was a fun night. I do like shooting clubs, and interiors as well as the night city life.

Well I'm almost 32, and most of the time I'm sitting at home myself. It's expensive to go out and live it up in this town. I just don't "party" that much. But I'm glad you liked the photos.

Sterling

Damn! Where are these places!?! I live in L.A. and I never go there - but then, I'm 57, married, couple of grown kids, gray beard, graying hair (I still have my hair! - well, most of it) - no wonder I'm sitting home right now looking at these exciting photos.

Hello Dave,
Your comments on my photos and the quick glimpse I had of your galleries have inspired me to go out and shoot more photos of Chico.
I look forward to going in to my downtown office, where I have DSL, and going through your galleries more thouroughly. By the way, my office is next door to the Chico Velo office; it gets a little crazy around the time of the Wildflower Century.
Thank you,
Cheryl

Hi Dave,
I just watched your album and recognized the black bear mom and cub. We must have been there at the same time, cool! :-)
I just uploaded some more pictures of the bears crossing, so check out my last 3 pictures. While you got the frontal shot I made the one showing 3 bear butts. Your position was great to take pictures although I was glad I wasn't that close to the bears. She was pretty intimidating walking towards your group, we caught that on video. I guess you are one of the people who are slowly retreating, if you are interested I can make and upload a piece of that.:-)
Do you have more pictures of them?
We watched the same bears that afternoon when they were on their way to the Tower parking lot. They stayed there for a couple of hours and a lot of my pictures are from that "show".

The moose in Grand Teton just crossed the road in front of us and was walking near the road that's why we were this close. Plain dumb luck, I guess.

yes indeed dave, http://www.pbase.com/sedonamemories/image/26293593)'tis the santa monica mountains! (a little used portion of the backbone trail above malibu). & my home for almost fifty years. grew up in rustic canyon and then lived for 25 years at the bottom of topanga canyon on the old Los Angeles Athletic Club property.

when the state bought the property for parkland four years ago, it seemed like a good time to move to sedona. haven't regretted it one bit but there are times when i miss the ocean, the coastal mountains, the pacific weather patterns, lots & lots of friends.

looked at your site and it looks like you've got a good thing goin'! leading photo tours to the most beautiful places in the world . . . tough job but someone's gotta do it. and very reasonably priced, i must say. i think i may join you sometime this spring.

ever think about a sedona/grand canyon tour? i could help out if you need some local knowledge.

very impressed by your galleries. great work. looking forward to exploring them a bit more in depth. thanks again for checking in.

Hi Dave - I like your new photos. You see the world in a unique and artistic way - thanks for letting the rest of us get a peek too. I did a "raindrops on the car window" shot too. We were moving (John driving) and I atempted focus with both the raindrops and the scenery. I actually got several I like a lot but here is one I posted.http://www.pbase.com/w_d_p/image/35229802 vanita

I made my way to your site through the L.A. Wheelmen. I haven't ridden with them in a long time but I still get emails. You really have some beautiful photos. I love the Rolleiflex stuff. Good eye.

Dave, I enjoyed spending time on your webpage. Liked the Bodie pictures. I've seen many Bodie pictures over the years in pictorial slide competition during my membership in the South Bay Camera Club. Yours are especially well composed. After looking some more, I've a renewed interest to try making it to the top of Fargo Hill! I saw Huell Howser's show on it but never got up the nerve to try it myself.

Hai mr. Wyman,
I absolutely love the landscape in your photographs.
I am new to digital photography.
I am unable to figure out how you reduce the size of images taken in 7 mpx camera to around 100 knb size retaining excellent quality.
What software do you use?
Thanks,
Ramki.
