This is a full size A900 shot, from raw, using the 70-210mm 'beercan' 1985 AF Minolta lens stopped down to f9. Exposure as ISO 200 is a generous 1/160th, and this has not been reduced in ACR 4.6 processing - the light, open feel is worth keeping. No CA control or defringeing has been applied, and you will spot one chromatic fringe (white shirt) and a few tiny green-blue spots in the trees. But I can also tell you, the 70-200mm SSM Apo G produces more colour fringes than this. I'm amazed at the detail, without any pp sharpening at all, this vintage lens produces. It shows that the A900 has a detail rendering which preserves stuff like the texture of grass perfectly. View the full size image, have a wander round the picture. The people are as clear as small portraits and you can tell the fabric textures on the bags and clothing.

If ONLY Sony-Minolta would make this lens again with new coatings and an SSM motor!
