formentera1.jpg

I've put this here because, like many of my recent pictures with the A900, it has been taken on a lens at least 15 years old - a Minolta 28-105mm f3.5-4.5 RS - and costing £106 in mint condition though sold as used. I have sold my 24-105mm D lens as it was nowhere near good enough in terms of vignetting, CA and geometry. The older less ambitious 28-105mm is not only much sharper (and far better built as a lens, really solid and smooth) it also has simple easily corrected distortion and very little vignetting. CA values are about half those of the 24-105mm.

This pic was shot in extreme wind conditions - I'd guess around 40-60mph wind, people were walking this high cliff-ridge pathway with great care. I was knocked off my feet shortly after taking this frame and landed backwards catching the wall with one hand.
