Adobe Lightroom Public Beta 3 will process .ARW files from the A100. This shows a 1600 ISO raw file with some settings being used to adjust its tone curve, and to reduce noise and smooth the image while retaining detail. The area under the cloth saddle front edge is a bit deceptive as there was some light detail present which is not 'noise' but the edge of red and fawn coloured layers of fabric. For a better idea of the dark noise, look at the olive tree trunk and the sheep. Lightroom only has a single noise slider, no special parameters for luminance/chroma noise.
