Hi David, Love your Antelope Canyon pictures! You mentioned that you used fixed 14 mm and 21 mm lens. Would it be okay to take just one 15 mm wide angle with me? (I only have one SLR) Will I be able to take most of the photos I need in the canyon? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi David,

Just wanted to say that I stumbled across your website, and I need to say that your pictures are exceptional.

I'm just starting into photography, and I currently have a Canon 7D with some basic lens's but looking for a good zoom lens, I was thinking about Canon 70-200 / f2.8 with IS.

Keep up the great work, your website has been instantly bookmarked and I'll be sure to tell all of my friends about it too.

All the best,

Daniel

Hi Dave,
Thanks so much for posting the photos of Sungei Buloh. I visited the site for one morning this January and saw many birds but am not a great photographer. So, I jotted down notes and tried to find them in my bird book.
However, when I found your site, I was able to verify every single one of them (I think that they were even standing in the same positions in your photos as they were when I saw them!!). I sent your site url to friends and family so they could see what I had seen.

Thanks again!!

Hi David,

It is Pat Linker, I use to keep you and your brother in business in your Native American Store on Independence Blvd. in Char. N.C. in business. I can't even think of your brother's name at the present, but I know I spent many happy hrs. at both of your stores there in Charlotte. To help you remember I am Geranimo's G.G.Granddaughter. I found a picture of the founding fathers on a T=shirt in a book with your name on it, this was and is still one of my favorite pieces of art work that I purchased from you. God bless you for continuing this work and your artistery has only improved with what I see on the wed.

Hello David, my name is Aku from Sri Lanka. I was surfing the net and was amazed when I came across what was written about Tree Tops Farm - that the website was in the process of being made better..... I felt even sadder when I scrolled down and saw Lars comments... Tree Tops Farm was by dream, a project that I started back in 1996 - using my own funds and resources - to do my bit for nature. And am proud to say that I suceeded, till...
About the website, my website, would appreciate if that was left alone as all those words and ideas are all absolutely mine!
I fought for the jungle and made it very difficult for the loggers and hunters to do their thing. Was also responsible for saving many elephants from being shot, I was rather radical, but helped the village at the same time as well, in many ways.
I am sorry and will end this for now,... hope to hear from you....
Cheers

nice pics but some words of advice on improving picture quality ten fold. forget all auto mode on D30, bracket the shots, select best white balance for the scene. never use the same metering on every single animal as if the background is bright, well, u get shadows, background too dark, subject will be over exposed etc. keep in touch as am updating a website of all new pics ive taken with the new Nikon D70. pics taken with sony cybershot P32 - 3 mega pixel camera can be found @http://tsunami-lk.tripod.com. tsunami-lk2.tripod.com. Dear David Behrens,

I hope you remember me from Rathambore in December of 2004. I remember you telling me that you would post your December photos soon. I enjoyed the March, 2004, photos immensely.
After we parted I went to Jodhpur, Pushkar, Udiapur, Veranasi and Khajuaraho. I hope you have been to Veranasi. If not, do you remember the scene in "American Vacation," with Chevvy Chase, where the old dead aunt was strapped to the roof? Well, that is how bodies are brought into Benaris (Veranasi), I soon learned. The photo opportunities in that city are staggering.
It is often said that people who visit India either love it or hate it. I came down heavily in the former category.
With all best wishes, Henry Weisser

Dear Dave!

It's amazing to see your photographs. I, too, love nature and I'd love to take photographs of everything. It's great to see good photographs of our local animals (Singapore) especially the Great Hornbill. We've had a couple and later the whole family of five coming in the mornings and in the evenings to sit in the tree in front of our house in Vanda Drive - making a lot of noise.
Good luck for your next trips!

God bless you

Your pictures are beyond any words, they are so good I log into your website daily, just to forget that I live in a city. Hello David,

Really super photos, especially considered they are taken from the inner side of the jeep. I haven't been able to take that kind of quality pictures even though I have an eco lodge (basic clay and tree huts) in a jungle at the northern border of Yala - so I can walk about relatively freely. I'm not limited by trackers and drivers but more by the wild elephants... Luckily I'm in good company with the natives, they know the art of surviving at that place.
This brings me to the subject. I found your pictures when looking for the Malabar Pied Hornbill, and found the right photo... Well, I am working on a new website for my jungle hide out, Tree Tops Farm, and would like to use about five of your photos - would that be ok? Please reply me as soon as possible. The old web site is http://treetopsfarm.tripod.com. Am preparing a new one that will be wonderful but even better with your Hornbill and a few more.

David, as a lover of great pictures, I have really enjoyed viewing your work. You have captured some nice images of nature, which I especially like. Of course, having some of my native Texas and your grandparents ranch, make it even better for me. After getting to visit "Rancho Behrens on the Colorado" last year, I can relate to some of the pictures on your web site. I took some similar ones during my visit. At the time, I did not have my digital camera, an Olympus 3030, which I have since found to be an enjoyable addition to my collection of equipment, especially for emailing. Keep up the good work. By the way, I am your grandfather's cousin way up in Washington State.
