Guinsa, located in Sobaeksan (Mt.Sobaek), is the place of origin of the Tienta order in Korean Buddhism.
This temple is the center of the cult which includes over a million devotees who practice their faith at more
than three hundred branch temples and assembly halls. The Great Founder Sang-wall Won-gak, who is the leading
spirit of recent Korean Buddhism, ascended Yun-hwa in Sobaeksan forty years ago and there he inaugurated
this great Buddhist seminary Guinsa in his ardent wish to deliver all people and protect the nation by promoting Truth.
