The Diros Cave, renowned as the most beautiful lake cave in the world, is located in Mani district and has been systematically explored since 1949. In the ten thousand square meters explored so far, it comprises many galleries and multicolour chambers with a lot of stalactites and stalagmites that form imposing pillars. Its limestone lakebed, which has eventually transformed into marble, rifts in two parallel corridors - these corridors have been linked through an artificial tunnel, to facilitate the visiting of the cave by small boats.
