Reason, Season or a life time...

What are you??? Are you a Reason a Season or a Lifetime?

Pay attention to what you read. After you read this, you will know the reason it was sent to you! more... more... more... People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do for each person.

When someone is in your life for a REASON. . . It is usually to meet a need you have expressed. They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally, or spiritually. They may seem like a godsend, and they are! They are there for the reason you need them to be. Then, without any wrong
doing on your part, or at an inconvenient time, this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end. Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our need has been met, our desire fulfilled, their work is done. The prayer you sent up has been answered. And now it is time to move on.

Then people come into your life for a SEASON. Because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn. They bring you an experience of peace, or make you laugh. They may teach you something you have never done. They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy. Believe it! It is real! But, only for a season.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation. Your job is to accept the lesson, love the person, and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind
but friendship is clairvoyant.

THANK YOU for being a part of my life.

Work like you don't need the money
Love like you've never been hurt, and
dance like no one is watching.

Jeffee,
I always wanted to be an actress.
Wanted to work at Disneyland, forced to choose, the day i would start work was on my wedding day.. Fate had marriage in store for me.
I was a long distance telephone operator for years..'That voice with a smile'
Worked for police department=crossguard. You know they take your picture just as if you were being booked...for ID purposes.
I was in ambulatory driving.
Worked for OCTD in California transportation.

If it's okay, i'll use some of your images in my ballet galleries with proper credit:)
Hey? thanks for your interest!
Guest 31-Jul-2008 06:05
I would love to see you incorporate some of my images in your work. I am having a little
trouble operating the system at Pbase. Is this your interest? I used to work in Coronary Care and Intensive Care Units when I should have been working on my Art. I had
a lot of comments from Quantum Illusions and I also left a lot of comments on your
outstanding work.
Pauline04-Jul-2008 23:13
It was a pleasure to use your images Melissa.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful galleries:) You have truly shown the elegance, strength and precision of ballet through your selections of various artists. I love what you did to each image and can see why sepia is a favorite of yours:) I'm very touched by what you did with my images and inspired to play around with sepia more myself in the future:)

Stay blessed,

STROKE: Remember The 1st Three Letters.... S.T.R.

My nurse friend sent this and encouraged me to post it and spread the word. I agree.

If everyone can remember something this simple, we could save some folks. Seriously..

Please read:

STROKE IDENTIFICATION:

During a BBQ, a friend stumbled and took a little fall - she assured everyone that she was fine (they offered to call paramedics) .....she said she had just tripped over a brick because of her new shoes.

They got her cleaned up and got her a new plate of food. While she appeared a bit shaken up, Ingrid went about enjoying herself the rest of the evening.

Ingrid's husband called later telling everyone that his wife had been taken to the hospital - (at 6:00 pm Ingrid passed away.) She had suffered a stroke at the BBQ. Had they known how to identify the signs of a stroke, perhaps Ingrid would be with us today. Some don't die.... they end up in a helpless, hopeless condition instead.

It only takes a minute to read this...

A neurologist says that if he can get to a stroke victim within 3 hours he can totally reverse the effects of a stroke... totally . He said the trick was getting a stroke recognized, diagnosed, and then getting the patient medically cared for within 3 hours, which is tough.

RECOGNIZING A STROKE
Thank God for the sense to remember the '3' steps, STR . Read and Learn!

Sometimes symptoms of a stroke are difficult to identify. Unfortunately, the lack of awareness spells disaster. The stroke victim may suffer severe brain damage when people nearby fail to recognize the symptoms of a stroke .

Now doctors say a bystander can recognize a stroke by asking three simple questions:
S * Ask the individual to SMILE.
T * Ask the person to TALK and SPEAK A SIMPLE SENTENCE (Coherently)
(i.e. It is sunny out today)
R * Ask him or her to RAISE BOTH ARMS.

If he or she has trouble with ANY ONE of these tasks, call 999/911 immediately and describe the symptoms to the dispatcher.

New Sign of a Stroke -------- Stick out Your Tongue

NOTE: Another 'sign' of a stroke is this: Ask the person to 'stick' out his tongue.. If the tongue is 'crooked', if it goes to one side or the other , that is also an indication of a stroke.

A cardiologist says if everyone who gets this e-mail sends it to 10 people; you can bet that at least one life will be saved.

A HERO of a GREETER!

A very loud, very unattractive, mean-acting woman walked into Wal-Mart with her two kids, yelling obscenities at them all the way through the entrance.

The Wal-Mart Greeter said pleasantly "Good morning, and welcome to Wal-Mart. Nice children you have there. Are they twins?"

The ugly woman stopped yelling long enough to say, "Hell no they ain't. The oldest one's 9 and the other one's 7. Why the hell would you
think they're twins? Are you blind, or just stupid?"

"I'm neither blind nor stupid, Ma'am," replied the greeter.
"I just couldn't believe you got laid twice."
"Have a good day and thank you for shopping at Wal-Mart."
Live simply. Love generously. Care deeply.
Pauline04-Dec-2007 14:59
An old man, a boy & a donkey were going to town.
The boy rode on the donkey & the old man walked.
As they went along they passed some people
who remarked it was a shame the old man
was walking and the boy was riding.
The man and boy thought maybe the critics
were right so they changed positions.
Then, later, they passed some people who remarked,
"What a shame, he makes that little boy walk."
So they then decided they'd both walk!
Soon they passed some more people who
thought they were stupid to walk when
they had a decent donkey to ride.
So, they both rode the donkey.
Now they passed some people who
shamed them by saying how awful to
put such a load on a poor donkey.
The boy and man figured they were probably
right, so they decide to carry the donkey.
As they crossed the bridge,
they lost their grip on the animal
and he fell into the river and drowned.
The moral of the story?

If you try to please everyone,
you might as well...
Kiss your ass goodbye!

Have A Nice Day And
Be Careful With Your Donkey

What a wonderful collection you have put together! I really enjoyed browsing and plan to visit more. I tried to make some comments but Pbase wouldn't let me. Must be another glitch in the system. Anyway, you are doing great work.
Pauline02-Mar-2007 16:26
Pinky, just to cover the base if you mean all the galleries, I take no credit for these pictures, they are all 'Topic Galleries', favorites, I've some of the best, some of the most unique of pictures. Years of collecting. Some of the things collected needs to be seen over and over again, if anything for the reaction it leaves you with and I mean the pleasure of viewing it. My contribution is my time in compiling it.
Pauline02-Mar-2007 16:16
It's a memorial for Steve Irwin.
A compilation that most anyone could create.
I deliberately waited a week before starting this.
I wanted to do it the day I found he was killed.
Broke my heart to hear he was gone.
This gallery is not mine.
Belongs to everyone!
Belongs to you as well...:(

How ironic but not a surprise that from one so filled with electricity, his enthusiasm cast a huge shadow of hope for mankind! A pleasure to honor this humanitarian!!!!

Many many people feel strongly about this man.
It's comforting to look at these responses about him.
I'm sure his family pleased but not surprised to know how well liked this man will always be.
