I have been off line for the past week as since last
Thursday night at 9:00PM we lost power due to a surprise
early snow storm here in Buffalo. Today, Thursday Oct 19th,
a week later we just got power restored. The problem was
the snow was very wet and heavy and the trees had not lost
their leaves. Branches crashing to the ground brought
powerlines down with them. 400,000 households were without
power, the streets were blocked with snow and trees.
Schools have been closed for a week. Exciting times.
