amazing galleries.... You have a great eye for photography, and a unique style. And a sense of humour that left me rolling on the floor laughing. I have truly enjoyed going through your galleries - the range and variety of topics, the originality of viewpoint, and the quality. Well done, keep it up ! Greetings from Poland. Pawel

I think you should stop saying you aren't that good. You have very innovative photographs in your portfolio. It may be an idea to start one gallery to specifically support them. I really enjoyed looking, you are a really good photographer!

Thanks for stopping by and warm compliments. In answer to your question about the old navy ships, it's a combination of both...some of these ships are over 40 years old and have been replaced by more capable ships. The downsizing portion has to do with the hundreds of old ships in mothballs on both coasts which are tied up and slowly decaying. Sometimes though the scrapping of a ship can be a sad thing. Recently, an old WW2 aircraft carrier was scrapped near the yard. A number of people tried to have it saved to become a museum but unfortunately to no avail.

Your galleries are excellent and I notice you have a Nikon D70 (turns green with envy)..I'd love to have a digital SLR, but that's the way it goes. Keep snapping...not only is it fun, but between taking the photos and maintaining your photo galleries it's a great stress breaker. May I suggest some photo editing software? It's fun to personalize your photos and also tweaking with the image to maximize it's impact. I use Paintshop pro 8 demo (it runs out after 30 days but will still work if you turn back the clock on the computer) to enhance contrast, sharpness and make these neat borders. Make sure you download the free plug-ins too.

Thanks for sharing
