Mt Bartle Frere

best viewed at original size

The rainforest-clad Mt Bartle Frere is 1,622 m tall and Queensland’s tallest mountain (not very tall by international standards, I know).
The feature at the right-hand end is Broken Nose.
Photographed from the lush dairy-farm farms of the Atherton Tableland on the mountain’s inland side, themselves moderately elevated at about 850 m.

Great view from the rolling green hills - glad to see small groups of trees growing on the farmland.
