Goðafoss, a famous 12m high waterfall in the river Skjálfandafljót, a long and major water system, coming all the way to the northern coast
from the interior highlands, draining both the Vatnajökull and Hofsjökull glaciers.
Its colors can vary considerably, depending on the fluctuating water levels, caused by change in the melting rate of the interior glacial ice caps.
Sometimes its emerald and clear as here (June -08), as opposed to the previous picture "Goðafoss" (July -09).
