FUJIFILM Corporation (President: Shigehiro Nakajima) is proud to announce the addition of a further model to its XP range of tough cameras. The FinePix XP200 defines new standards for all-weather digital compacts (15m Waterproof, 2m Shockproof, Sand/Dustproof and -10°C Freezeproof)***; building on the success of previous Fujifilm XP models. The XP200 is the optimal camera for the outdoor enthusiast, and extreme adventurer; whether you're into climbing mountains or diving in the oceans, the FinePix XP200 has what it takes to deliver high quality still shots and Full HD movies, whatever the conditions are. The CMOS sensor empowers continuous shooting at up to 10fps*4 (max. 9 frames) with a dedicated "Burst Mode Button" which lets you instantly switch into continuous shooting mode. And with Wireless Image Transfer function, you can transfer the exciting photos and movies*5 which cannot be taken by other cameras and smartphones.
1. A Born Survivor!

Waterproof*** - the XP200 shoots stills and records movies underwater, up to a depth of 15 metres, with crystal clear quality. There's even a double seal over the battery chamber for increased protection
Shockproof*** - walkers, climbers and mountain bikers will benefit from the camera's shockproof capabilities that mean it can survive a drop of up to 2m
Dustproof*** - there is no need to worry about getting sand inside the camera due to the thoroughly sealed access ports, protecting both the lens and the sensor and ensuring optimum quality images
Freezeproof*** - if you like to shoot in the coldest of climates, the XP200 will keep functioning all the way down to -10°C

2. Wireless Image Transfer to smartphones and computers

The XP200's new wireless feature lets you transfer your photos and movies*5 from the FinePix XP200 to smartphones, tablets, and PCs.
For the first time, via Wi-FiŽ*, Fujifilm's all-weather digital compact is able to offer a means to back up your photos on your home PC. Just install the free "FUJIFILM PC AutoSave" software onto your PC and select which folder you want the photos to back up to, and then by linking your Wi-Fi Router and the XP200 camera you will have set up a very simple to use backup for your photos on your home PC.
For smartphones and tablets you will need to download the free dedicated "FUJIFILM Camera Application" to your iPhone, iPad, or Android™ smartphone or tablet device to transfer up to 30 pictures at a time from the FinePix XP200. The app also lets you download movies*5, expanding the range of options available for enjoying pictures taken with the camera. Pictures stored on the camera can be viewed and selected for download on large smartphone or tablet screens for a smooth download experience. No wireless LAN access point or complicated ID/password entry is required, and once the pictures have been downloaded to the smartphone, it's a simple task to upload them to social networking sites.
High-quality pictures and movies*5 can be uploaded hassle-free to the smartphone or tablet of anyone who has downloaded the free "FUJIFILM Camera Application".

3. A high speed shooter

Capture high speed action with the XP200's 10fps*4 continuous shooting mode at full resolution (max. 9 frames). You can also shoot ultra-high speed continuous shooting at up to 60fps*4 (max. 60 frames*6). With a dedicated "Burst Mode Button" placed on the back of the camera, it's easy to switch to this mode instantly, which means it's so easy to capture fast paced action shots.

4. Superior image quality

At the very core of the XP200 is the camera's 1/2.3-inch 16 million pixel CMOS sensor. With ISO sensitivity up to 6400*7 and CMOS Shift Image Stabilisation, image capture is handled with ease ensuring that sharp, clear pictures are produced, even in challenging low-light conditions. Details in shadow and in bright light can sometimes be lost on cameras with less powerful sensors, but the XP200's CMOS sensor ensures that beautiful pictures are captured.
5. Seeing is believing

The XP200 has a bright and impressive 3.0", 920K-dot LCD screen with an anti-reflective coating which makes looking at images and data on the back of the screen really easy, even in bright sunlight. The screen features an automatic brightness adjustment feature which can be optimised to monitor brightness to account for ambient lighting, saving battery power without sacrificing clarity.

6. Get closer to the action

The well-designed XP200 features an internal 5x optical FUJINON zoom lens (28 - 140mm*8), which means that you can zoom right up to the action, even underwater. Blur free pictures are achieved through the CMOS Shift Image Stabilisation which corrects the effects of any slight shake of the hand when depressing the shutter. The technology continues to impress with the added application of Intelligent Digital Zoom. The XP200 combines its 5x optical zoom with Intelligent Digital Zoom which results in double the zoom range (10x) whilst offering optimum image processing to counteract the degradation that has traditionally occurred when digital zooms are used.
7. Rugged looks and wide appeal

The XP200 is a well-designed rugged camera with an excellent core specification that will withstand the wear and tear of your adventures. It's got extra grip in case your hands are wet and is incredibly simple to operate, even if you're wearing ski gloves.

8. Capture your adventures in Full HD

The XP200 allows you to take action-packed HD movies of your escapades, perfect to show friends and family on the TV back at home what you've been up to. With the fast read-out and high speed processing of the CMOS image sensor and processor, the XP200 can record Full 1080i HD movies (60fps). The performance of the Image Stabilization for movie recording has also been greatly improved than previous XP series*9. With a "Movie Recording Button" on the back of the camera, recording starts quickly and easily, and just another press to stop recording. In addition, high speed recording is also available at frame rates of up to 360fps.
Additional features such as Scene Recognition Auto now work when recording movies. Advanced in-camera movie editing available including features such as "movie trimming" to edit out unwanted footage and "movie join" to seamlessly pull together multiple movies into a single movie.
9. Transform your photographs with in-camera "Advanced Filter"

You can really get creative by applying "Advanced Filter" to your photos which you can preview on the LCD before you take your shot.*10
Pop Color - Emphasise contrast and color saturation
Toy Camera - Create shaded borders as if you were taking a photo on a toy camera
Miniature - Add top and bottom blur for a diorama or miniature effect
Partial Color - Retain one selected original color and change the rest of the photo to black and white. Colors can be selected from red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple for dramatic effect
High Key - Enhance brightness and reduce contrast to lighten tonal reproduction
Soft Focus - Create a look that is evenly soft throughout the whole image
Cross Screen - Create starbursts around bright objects

10. Creative photography

The XP200 features a number of advanced features allowing greater creative flexibility. High speed multi-frame processing lets you record two shots or more at different exposures and then combine them to achieve High Dynamic Range (HDR) shots with natural contrast that preserves details in the highlights and shadows. Motion Panorama 360 lets you create a 360° panoramic shot just by selecting the mode & pressing the shutter button and spinning round in a circle. This is simple to use and the effect is superb, particularly for landscape shots. Individual shutter 3D lets you create fun images with a 3D effect by combining two shots taken from slightly different angles.
