-- Hello, Thanks for visiting, I know Versailles for many years, and I love the place very much. It is an infinite source of inspiration for photographers that search for beauty and elegance. I'm glad to share the images I collect each time I visit it, At least all those who cannot come to see it by themselves can see how beautiful it is. I have started this collection in April 2005 and hope to get this gathered in a book sooner or later. --

Les jardins de Versailles n'est pas un sujet facile. J'en ai vu plusieurs qui s'y sont cassés les dents. Vous avez su trouver les angles, les lumières, les sujets qui font la différence. Grand bravo, je suis admirative !

It is actually true that there were no toilets. The way they performed their physiological needs is kind of disguesting. The servants had long robes with which they covered the people who would use chamberpots. The chamberpots were later emtied into the gardens (not as elegant as one might think).

My mother and I are going to Paris next week (yay!) and on Tuesday afternoon we will be going to Versailles, the first time after 30 years.... if you have any suggestions, feel free! Wonderful, absolutely wonderful. You not only capture the spirit and beauty of the chetau, you also have very artistc angles, perspectives and composition of details and what not. I just wish there were more galeries like this. It is almost as beautiful as visiting the real thing. Thank you, I honestly hope to see an update of some sort on this page.

If you anyone ever asks why the French had a Revolution you should just show them these pictures! I have been to Versailles and it is is simply astonishing.
