Eagles are one of my favourite birds to photograph. I watched this one for awhile and when he flew by I was able to get a close, clear shot. Bald Eagles can fly to altitudes of 10,000 feet or more, and can soar aloft for hours using natural wind currents and thermal updrafts. This one was looking for food and fortunately for me he was close to the water, not 10,000 ft. away!
