It was late in the day and we were about ready to head home, but thought we'd make one more visit to one of our favourite spots and were rewarded with this impressive sight. We both got a number of shots and watched him until he finished his meal and flew away. Interesting fact: Bald Eagles range from about 29 to 42 inches long, can weigh 7 to 15 pounds, and have a wing span of 6 to 8 feet. Eagles can carry their food off in flight, but can only lift about half their weight.
