Mr Sarberenyi, 5 years have gone by since Alex Tomchik's comment but it is still true that your gallery of Clyde King's work on the ML4000 is invaluable. I, too, recently acquired a Rivarosssi model and I could never have been able to detail it reasonably without those photos. Living in the UK, any reference book would cost more than the model! (Even if I could find one)
Thanks again.

Good evening, Mr. Sarberenyi.

I just purchased a Rivarossi/AHM ML4000 from eBay and I've been scouring the web for photos and information on the model and the prototypes. Your gallery featuring Clyde King's models show some truly outstanding work and will be a great reference for me to use for a future rebuild project. Thanks very much for making these photographs available for viewing.

Regards,
Alex Tomchik

Ron,

Are the dynamic brake castings available for sale? I already have your exhaust stacks for the SP RSD-5.
Thanks for your reply.

Howdy Mr. Sarberenyi, I am writing to express my appreciation of your photographic work to record the progress of Mr. Clyde King's modification on a pair of KM4000 HO model diesel engines representing the SP and DRG&W versions.
I have acquired two AHM HO models of this engine.
Would you share a contact method I can use to reach Mr. King. I am interesting in duplicating his efforts and would appreciate learning where he obtained his detail parts, photographs of the prototype engines, measurements for the placement of detail parts. Would his brother do additional mill work to create four more trucks for these engines? Are the measurements for the replacement trucks available for another machine shop to use?
Thank you for your time and any assistance you may be able to provide.
Respectfully,
Daniel Castillo

Rob,

Fantastic job. Do you happen to have a detail parts list that you used on the models?

Rob,

Thank you for the wonderfully presented images of Clyde Kings's SP stack cars. I have the October 1983 issue of Model Railroader magazine and am currently trying to duplicate the beautiful work that Clyde completed. The magazine article describes a project that lacks the detail that Clyde put into his work. Is Clyde available to speak with or do you know if he had building plans for the cars?

Again, thanks for your work!!!

Rob: Any chance that the fat stacks could come back? Atlas is doing a RSD 4/5. Thanks

Hi, I'm Jim Vice's step-daughter, Yvonne. He told me you were a power seller on ebay. I've been trying to find what you sell. Do you have a store there? Whatever, I'm just trying to find you. Please reply, thanks, Yvonne

I don't remember when I have enjoyed looking at pictures more than this. Perhaps because they are all such good pictures, but also because of the subject matter. I especially liked the SP freight car album.

Rob, thanks for posting those great SW1500 photos, especially the radiator grills. Not sure how I'm going to do it in HO scale, but your photos are just what I need. Thanks again.

Hello Rob, I saw a photo from your collection on the Espee Modelers website; it is a downward shoot of two SP Krauss Maffei units working mid train possibly in the Tehachapi area. This is first time I’ve seen a top view of a cab unit late in its career, and was wondering if there is any way I could obtain a copy. Thank You, Art Olsen

Rob thanks for the info on the photos. Everylittle bit helps. For right now Ithink I will leave the trucks alone other than putting on the speed recorder.

Thanks

Nice pages and photos-a great resource you're sharing.
Thanks for the notes on this car- nice datails about the use etc.
Do you have any info on how many, when shipments went etc. to/ from Colorado as I'm using the WP as an 'interchange and thru-route' partner for my D&RGW aspirations.
