Your photographs are creative, fun, & capture the moment/moments very well. I just noticed your link on one of your posts over @ TW & thought I would check it out. So very glad I did. Thank you for sharing your images!

Gary...if you still retain examples, what would be the possibility of having you forward an image or two my way of any of the parachute specimens from John Kiker? I am conducting some background research on an Apollo parachute within my collection (the artifact flew on Command Module 117 in conjuction with Skylab II) and would like to compare the nylon textiles/engineering used to fabricate our two respective artifacts to determine if there were any design changes.

My chute photo-documented on my website Spaceaholic.com go to the Command Module page, 2nd artifact listed on that page.

Thanks for sharing the photos of your grandfather's marvelous "Hoot Hoot I Scream" stand.
I've been curious about the long-lost structure for decades and before today found very little about it on the internet. I've never seen the first two photos in your collection before today, just the well known stock photo.
The only other photo I've seen of it appears to have been taken in the 1970s- it's painted yellow, the eyes are broken, and if I remember correctly the "Hoot Hoot I Scream" name was replaced with "Hoot owl cafe".

Thanks for visiting my gallery. I've enjoyed looking through yours so please keep 'em coming. For as long as I've working in HB, I have yet to take any pictures at the beach. But after looking through your HB gallery, I think I'm going to finally get off my butt! =)

Thanks for your kind words and info about the Space Shuttle demonstrator with 26 engines. I forwarded the link to the scouts in our troop. They had a great time at the rocket campout. It was delayed a month because of the fire ban in Texas (we've finally had enough rain). I finished posting the photos of some of the launches after you left your comment. Hope you enjoy the later photos.

Had a great holiday at Huntington Beach in '05 like being back there.
The shots of hot rods superb. The Bad Minor would be a big hit here in England.
Keep shooting. All of your work exellent!

Kind of off topic question? I am looking to take the family up to Bass Lake this summer 05' and hoped to get some pointers on a few things.
1) where to rent a lake house from?
2) what part of the lake is best to rent a house on
3) what is the best place to rent a ski water tubing boat?
4) any other pointers to make it a most enjoyable week.
Please email me back to bottomofthenet@yahoo.com

Thanks, DAN

Great photos. I lived in Newport Beach for five years and would head up to Huntington all the time. I was also a Disney passport holder so I would stop by the park every Sunday. Thanks for the memories.

Gary, Great photos, I like your Huntington Beach shots. The plane crash was a very sad event, I had flown in it a couple times.

Well Gar, it looks like you're giving Ansel Adams a run for his money (or rather you WOULD be if he was still alive...but you get the point) :)
