Gary,
You took many pictures of my son playing shortstop at CMS up to 2007. We had some of them made into a calendar by Shutterfly, and to this day people are amazed at the quality of your work. Now that I have viewed your web site, I appreciate more your art work and the vision that you have for the world we live in. Thank you so much. Bob Rollins (Seattle, WA)

Hello Gary

I was just looking at your surfing pictures from what looks like Huntington Pier....nice! I take surf shots also and just ordered a 20D. I'm thinking of getting the Canon 400mm f/5.6, seems like a great value for this focal length. Would you recommend it for surf photography? Some say it's a bit slow (aperture-wise) for sports photography. What do you think?

Thanks alot!

Thanks. Well you might be right, I see a difference too. The two cameras process images a little different. The 70-200 f4 had a bit of a focus issue when I put it on the 20D, even though the 20D's AF system is supposed to be better. So I took the lens to Canon for calibration and it seems noticeably better now. Also, I don't always use the same routine for post processing so some of it could just be my inconsistent methods.

Gary, your shots of the Nissan and the Challenge are absolutely fantastic. Compositon, and exposure couldn't be better. Congratulations. I only have one question. Is it my imagination, but I find the Rebel with the 70-200 pictures sharper and nicer than with the 20D. Is it just me.

Speaking of the presentation of your pictures, how do you put those frames ? black border on a white sheet with your signature on it...don't you have a photoshop script that i could use to try the same because i love it!!!

Gary I noticed some of your pictures and I recognized some of the people. Tyler for one. Would that happen to be Danny and Lisa in the Martin hockey pictures? How do you know them? It might be easier to just send me an email. By the way very nice pics also.
